coments
"Amazing", the fifth song from the "Music" album, is one of the two William Orbit's song for this project. The sad facts about this song are that its production is very similar to "Beautiful Stranger", and the lyrics are about a broken heart, so the song doesn't bring anything new.
The "Music" album was a complete success in sales and critics, and had already three singles. When deciding which song would be the 4th, Madonna had made her choice: "Impressive Instant"; while people at Warner wanted "Amazing" or "Nobody's Perfect". When they decided to release "Amazing" as the 4th single for Europe, they released some promo CD's and asked some DJ's to remix the song. When they asked Madonna to film a video for the song (they needed a video to promote the single) she said she wasn't going to film anything that wasn't for "Impressive Instant". Warner Records decided to make a video with clips from the "Drowned World Tour 2001", and then Madonna said no more singles from "Music" were going to be released. Although some remixes were made, they will never see the light.

lyric
Amazing
You took a pretty picture
And you smashed into bits
Sank me into blackness
And you sealed it with a kiss

If only I could let you go
Why do I need you so

It's amazing what a boy can do
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't want you like I do
Want you and no one else

You took a poison arrow
And you aimed it at my heart
It's heavy and it's bitter
And it's tearing me apart

If only I could set you free
You worked your way inside of me

It's amazing what a boy can do
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't want you like I do
Want you and no one else

It's amazing what a boy can say
I cannot stop myself
Seems I love you more than yesterday
Love you and no one else

It's amazing

It's amazing what a boy can do
I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't want you like I do
Want you and no one else

It's amazing what a boy can say
I cannot stop myself
Seems I love you more than yesterday
Love you and no one else

It's amazing
It's amazing

I cannot stop myself
Wish I didn't love you and no one else

song with bad luck
Although nobody can say "Amazing" is a bad song, we all know it doesn't bring anything new to the "Music" album. Maybe that's the reason that made Madonna not to treat it so fine. First of all, all the fans called it "Beautiful Stranger 2", because both songs are very (VERY) similar. It is the one and only song from the "Music" album that Madonna didn't perform live, if we consider "American Pie" as a bonustrack, and the great "Paradise (Not For Me)" interlude in her "Drowned World Tour 2001" . And finally, the decision from Warner to release "Amazing" as a single and the opposition that Madonna made. It seems "Amazing" is a song with Bad Luck.
