This is one of the first Madonna recordings, and with an interesting story. "Ain't No Big Deal" was one of the songs in which she worked with Stephen Bray during her first years. In 1997, Stephen Bray used this early recordings, remastered and released them in an album called "Pre-Madonna". In this album we can also find a remixed version of this song.
In 1982 Madonna was going to sign a contract with a record company, and when releasing her first single, the chosen songs were "Everybody" and "Ain't No Big Deal". The reccomended producer was Mark Kamins, instead of Stephen Bray. "Ain't No Big Deal" was going to be the B-Side of "Everybody", but, although is was one of Seymour Stein's ("Sire Record"s president) favourite songs, the final song for the B-Side was a mix of "Everybody".
When Madonna recorded her first album, "Ain't No Big Deal" was recorded again, but this time the song was produced by Reggie Lucas, and the song was intended to appear in the album. People from "Sire Records" didn't like the song, and they decided to change it for another song called "Holiday" (the best decision they ever made!).
But this is not the end of "Ain't No Big Deal". "Warner" rescued this song to include it in an album called "Revenge Of The Killer B's Vol 2", and it was released as a B-Side in the following singles: "True Blue" in USA, the european edition of "Papa Don't Preach", and "Dress You Up" in Japan.

This album, called "Pre-Madonna", is completely official and includes 3 versions of "Ain't No Big Deal": "'8"1, "'97 Edit" and "'97 Extended". It has also been released with other covers and names as "Inthebeginning" (which doesn't include the "'97 Extended" version).
