BabyfaceLike A Flower was one of the songs that were rejected to take part in the Ray Of Light album. Amoss, Madonna's Ashram's webmaster, was the first to air a little fragment of this song, which is available in full length in the internet now.
Like A Flower is a beautiful ballad, really good, which would have suit pefectly in the Ray Of Light album, even more than other that were included. Why Madonna decided not to include it? We won't know until Madonna herself say that. We think that maybe Madonna thought that people would laugh about it: after big hits called
Like A Virgin and Like A Prayer, a song titled Like A Flower would sound like a joke… that's the only one reson we can think for that.
The song is writen by Rick Nowels (co-writer of The power Of Goodbye, To Have But Not Hold and Little Star) and Kenneth Edmonds, who is really Babyface (co-writer of Take A Bow and Forbidden Love).
