U.S.A. Rating: PG-13 Length: 135' | | comentarios | | Die Another Day, the 20th Bond film, is the one that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the most famous secret agent in the movie history. Pierce Brosnan makes the Bond role for the fourth time, and Halle Berry (who got an Oscar while filming the movie) is the Bond girl. This new title is faithful to the typical Bond style: many beautiful girls, lots of action, impossible gadgets and expensive luxuries. The director of the film is Lee Tamahori. And then, another anniversary, Madonna makes 20 years in the music world. Madonna collaborates in the original soundtrack from this film with the main title song. As Madonna have said many times, people from the Bond films have asked her to make the song title for one of the movies for many years. And now Madonna has made a completely diferent song from the usual Bond tunes, but it has suited perfectly the movie itself. What is more, director Lee Tamahori and Madonna talked about a participation inn the film, and at the end, Madonna was offered to make a cameo on it. Many people have said that Madonna wanted the main female role, but now we all know it's untrue. Madonna filmed her cameo in the early July 2002, when she was still into her Up For Grabs performances in the West End, in London. The filming of her role lasted just one day, but she says it was quite funny (but the couple of minutes she is on the screen is quite little for all the fans expecting Madonna on a Bond film). At leats the main credits are worth a cinema ticket. | | synopsis |

This is the fourth time he composes the score for a Bond film. Nicholas Dodd has directed the orchestra playing the 13 songs appearing in the soundtrack CD. Madonna has made the main title song for the movie, and the song used to promote it. The song (appearing ion the great main title scene) is called Die Another Day, keeping the film title, and was composed by Madonna and her last collaborator in her musical career, Mirwais Ahmadzaï. Michael Colomber, composer of the Swept Away soundtrack, has made the string arrangements for the song. The second track of the soundtrack is what it is going to be another tradition, a remix of the main Bond theme composed by Monty Norman. The remix is by Paul Oakenfold, who has previously remixed for Madonna. | | collector items | | | LThe movie soundtrack for Die Another Day has the long version of the song (Album version), a remix of the main Bond theme by Paul Oakenfold, and many multimedia content: the Die Another Day video, a making of the video segment, image galleries,

It was usual to choose ballads or mid-tempo tunes, all with the same style, and Madonna gives us a techno song. David Arnold, composer of the score from the last 4 James Bond films, has criticised strongly the song. He has said that Die Another Day is the worst Bond song ever written. Even some long time Madonna supporters, like Elton John, have said the song is awfull and tuneless. Aparts of all that, the song has been a huge hit, and has had the support of director Lee Tamahori.
| | poster | | | | in the cinemas | | Die Another Day is the most successful Bond film ever. It has made more money than any other in its first month in the cinemas worldwide. It has been a number one in the cinemas of many many countries. | | madonna is...verity | | Madonna plays the role of Verity, a fencing instructor who introduces James Bond to Gustav Graves and Miranda Frost, the bad guys in the movie. After that, she leaves and let them fight in duel. The appearance last over 2 minutes and a half. Verity is supposed to be lesbian, but this fact isn't relevant at all for this short cameo. The reason is that the real dialogue between Madonna, Bond, Gustav and Miranda is really much longer, and lets us guess that there is something more than a friendship between Miranda and Verity, her instructor and protector. We hope to see the whole scene in the forthcoming DVD extras. The fencing costumes Madonna wears in the film has been designed for her by the Versace fashion label.
